The panel in game

Type /staff panel in game and the full panel opens over the game. It is the same panel you use in a browser: players, reports, logs, live view, calls and every action, with nothing to alt-tab to.

Who can use it#

Anyone whose role includes Use the in-game panel (/staff panel). Inside it, staff can do exactly what their role allows on the web and nothing more. The server's owner can always use it.

Turn it on for a role under Settings → Team → Roles.

The first time: link your game account#

The first time you type /staff panel, the game shows you a short code instead of the panel.

1. Open the panel in your browser or on your phone.
2. Go to your account's Security page.
3. Under Game accounts, enter the code and press Link.
4. Type /staff panel in game again.

The code works for ten minutes. You only do this once for each game account you play on. This is what stops somebody else opening your panel by pretending to be your Discord account in game.

To stop a game account opening the panel, press Unlink next to it on the same page. Any panel it has open closes straight away.

Using it#

• Close in the top bar, or Esc, puts you back in the game. Type /staff panel to come back.
• Everything you do is in the audit log as done from the in-game panel, so it is always clear where an action came from.
• It stays signed in while you are on the server and signs itself out when you leave.
• It does not sign you out of the panel in your browser.

When a new report comes in while you are playing, a card in the corner offers a key that opens the panel straight on that report. For quick jobs that do not need the whole panel, such as a ban, a kick or a warning, see staff commands in game.

If it does not open#

• "FiveStaff could not tell who you are": open Discord on the same computer before starting FiveM, then restart FiveM.
• "Your Discord account is not on this server's FiveStaff team": ask the owner to invite you, using the Discord account you play with.
• "Your role does not include the in-game panel": ask the owner to turn it on for your role.
• The panel did not load: check your connection and type /staff panel again.

/staff panel is one of the staff commands. If another script on your server already uses /staff, the owner can give FiveStaff's commands another name by adding set fivestaff_staff_command "fsstaff" to server.cfg. The panel is then /fsstaff panel.
